This past February Santa Rosa Academy was awarded the Apple Distinguished School Award. The Apple Distinguished School designation is awarded to schools that integrate Apple technology in education and meet criteria for the five best practices: visionary leadership, innovative learning and teaching, ongoing professional learning, compelling evidence of success, and a flexible learning environment.
As an Apple Distinguished School we host tours quarterly for local educators as well as other visiting dignitaries. Last month Santa Rosa Academy received a special request from Apple to host a group of educators from Kamehameha Schools in Hawaii who were flying to California to visit two top Apple schools, of which Santa Rosa Academy was one.
The group of educators had a tour of our campus and visited a handful of Middle School and High School classes. The educators were able to ask questions of our staff and students and were excited to see the many great ways our students are utilizing technology in the classroom.
Santa Rosa Academy was honored to be able to share our program with the Maui educators looking to do that same on their campus
