Santa Rosa Academy has received an Apple Distinguished Program Award for its Laptops for Learning initiative.
Santa Rosa Academy presented a detailed multimedia presentation on the program for hosted Apple representatives in November 2013 for a formal visit that included site research.
The 1:1 MacBook program, now in its fourth year, issues MacBooks to students from sixth grade to 12th grade for use at home and in school.
Students use these MacBooks to do research, complete homework, problem-solve, communicate with teachers and to engage collaboratively in team projects. At the same time, they gain valuable 21st century skills that will be beneficial as they progress through their education and ultimately on to their future careers.
Santa Rosa Academy is proud to have received Apple Distinguished Award for our program and look forward to the program expanding.
